Moses Simiyu Profile

Date of Birth: 10th November 2006

Place of Birth: Huruma Estate, Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, Kenya

Interests: Enjoys playing football.

Aspirations: Aims to become a great leader in society and make his mother proud.

Moses is an 18-year-old student who is currently under our sponsorship program. He was born and raised in Huruma Estate, Eldoret and currently attends Uasin Gishu High School, where he is working hard to achieve his academic goals. Moses comes from a disadvantaged background, and without the support of this program, he may have missed an opportunity to receive a quality education and become whatever he aspires to be in future.

Born into a polygamous family where his father neglected him and his siblings, Moses was raised by his mother in a slum, with little to no resources. Despite the hardships they faced, Moses's mother worked tirelessly to provide for her children through casual labor. It was a struggle to put a meal on the table, leave alone raising school fees.
After completing primary education, Moses found himself unable to proceed to high school. However, fate intervened when he met Pastor Dan and IVC Church who took him under their wings and began sponsoring his education. Now in Form Three at Uasin Gishu High School, Moses is determined to make the most of this opportunity.
With a passion for soccer and dreams of becoming a great leader in society, Moses is driven by the desire to make his mother proud. His story serves as an inspiration to all who face challenges but refuse to give up on their dreams.

“I refuse to be a victim of my background and circumstances. Instead, I am determined to use this sponsorship opportunity to change my life for the better. I see myself as a future leader that my mother can be proud of.”

Sheldon Oluoch

Date of Birth:

Place of Birth: Kenya

Interests:

Aspirations:

My full name is Sheldon Ouluoch . I am 22 years old born on 20 th December 2000 in a Village called Umina, Ukwala sub location, Ugunja constituency, in SIAYA COUNTY, KENYA. I am a Kenyan by birth and I speak English and Swahili languages fluently. I am the first born of a family of six siblings (2 brothers and 3 sisters).

My father died when I was in class four and I have been raised by aunt Emily Atieno to ease my mum, Margaret Ngero, from the burden of raising 6 children.

I finished my secondary education in 2019. Having no person to help further my studies, I had applied for diploma in Electrical engineering but due to my family’s financial state, I opted to search for job opportunities to raise my school fees, but to no avail.

I had given up with studies to pave the way for my young siblings to continue with their studies and also

help in raising their fees. I tried both police and defense forces recruitment hoping that this would be light at the end of the tunnel but all never worked

Since then, I have been helping pastor Peter Musili at his farm and in church prayer programs. I stay within the church environs. By God’s grace, in mid 2022 I was privileged to meet good friends of pastor Musili, and through this had an opportunity to enroll for DIPLOMA IN GENERAL AGRICULTURE in ELDORET POLYTECHNIC (MAIN CAMPUS).

My aspiration in life is to become a lecturer in the field of Agriculture and science. I am currently working towards skills in leadership and administration, commerce management and entrepreneurship. I am also interested in pursuing theology.

I want to be an answer to a generation, especially the youths, to be an inspiration and motivation that God can do it. To touch a dying world with light of the gospel, and inspire millions to their potential.

Access to education has empowered me personally and reignited me to stretch to my unlimited potential.

It has created a special channel for me to achieve my goals, dreams and career. This opportunity is light to me and my family.

I am ready for the task ahead of me, to empower a generation that indeed God is able.

Answering the call for over two decades.
