Samuel Nyongesa

Date of Birth: 1999

Place of Birth: Eldoret, Kenya

Samuel Nyongesa is a shining example of the positive impact that sponsorship programs can have on individuals’ lives. Through our program, Samuel has been able to pursue his passion for electrical engineering and has successfully attained both a certificate and a diploma in the field.

Samuel Nyongesa’s journey from a struggling childhood in Eldoret, Kenya to becoming an aspiring electrical engineer is a testament to his resilience and determination. Born into a Christian family of eight children, Samuel faced financial hardships from a young age as both his parents were casual laborers. Despite the challenges, he managed to complete his education through public schools at Kapyemit Primary for his primary education and Kapkeben Secondary for his high school education.

With limited resources, Samuel was unable to pursue higher education until he received support through sponsorship. He seized the opportunity to study electrical engineering at NIBS College and Endebess Technical College, where he honed his skills and knowledge in the field.

Now working as an intern at a real estate agency in Nairobi, Samuel is grateful for the second chance he was given to pursue his dreams. With hard work and dedication, he aims to become a successful electrical engineer in the near future. His story is a reminder that with perseverance and support, anyone can overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

In addition to his studies in electrical engineering, he has taken the initiative to further develop his skills in life and mind transformation by joining Landmark Forum and becoming a leader within the organization.

“I eagerly anticipate the day when I can see the smiles on my parents’ faces as they witness the positive changes I am about to bring into my life and theirs. I am driven by a deep desire to make a lasting impact not only in my own life but also in the lives of those closest to me.”

He understands that his parents and siblings are proud of him for what he has accomplished thus far, but he is determined to do even better and improve both his financial situation and that of his family.
