Moses is an 18-year-old student who is currently under our sponsorship program. He was born and raised in Huruma Estate, Eldoret and currently attends Uasin Gishu High School, where he is working hard to achieve his academic goals. Moses comes from a disadvantaged background, and without the support of this program, he may have missed an opportunity to receive a quality education and become whatever he aspires to be in future.
Born into a polygamous family where his father neglected him and his siblings, Moses was raised by his mother in a slum, with little to no resources. Despite the hardships they faced, Moses’s mother worked tirelessly to provide for her children through casual labor. It was a struggle to put a meal on the table, leave alone raising school fees.
After completing primary education, Moses found himself unable to proceed to high school. However, fate intervened when he met Pastor Dan and IVC Church who took him under their wings and began sponsoring his education. Now in Form Three at Uasin Gishu High School, Moses is determined to make the most of this opportunity.
With a passion for soccer and dreams of becoming a great leader in society, Moses is driven by the desire to make his mother proud. His story serves as an inspiration to all who face challenges but refuse to give up on their dreams.
“I refuse to be a victim of my background and circumstances. Instead, I am determined to use this sponsorship opportunity to change my life for the better. I see myself as a future leader that my mother can be proud of.”
