“My name is Margaret Mbayachi. I was born on 6th may 2010, and I am now 13yrs old. I am a born again Christian and fellowships at IVC Church Eldoret. My father’s name is John Mbayachi and my mother’s name is Josephine Akinyi I was raised in Uasin Gishu county. I have two siblings both boys my eldest brother is a first year student in university and my youngest brother is in grade 6.
I have always been a hardworking student and I did exceptionally well in my KCPE exams. Despite my outstanding results, I faced a significant obstacle when it came to joining the high school of my choice. I had put in diligent efforts and aspirations, but having come from a low-income family, our limited financial resources prevented her from going to the high school of my choice. I was however determined to join school and I gathered courage to seek support from Pastor Dan, who graciously offered me sponsorship.
With the guidance and assistance of Pastor Dan, I was finally able to enroll in Form 1, opening doors to a brighter future. I am glad that now I am able to study without difficulties and this has also relieved my parents of a huge financial burden.
I may never be able to repay my sponsors fully, but I will for sure be forever grateful to them for giving me a second chance.”-Margaret.
