“Growing up in the small town of Mailinne, Milimani area, I faced many challenges due to the poverty and struggles my family endured. Raised by hardworking parents who relied on my father’s meager teacher’s salary, life was not easy for us. When my father was retrenched, our situation went from bad to worse.
Despite these hardships, I never gave up on my dreams of pursuing a higher education. With no financial support for school fees after completing high school, I felt lost and hopeless. However, thanks to the Makena Community Sponsorship Program, I am now able to study Civil Engineering at Etti School of Engineering.
With this opportunity, I am determined to make the most of it and become a successful engineer in the future. Additionally, I have discovered a passion for music and have honed my skills as an instrumentalist. Through hard work and perseverance, I am confident that I can change my story.
I am thankful to the Makena Community Sponsorship Program for providing me with the opportunity to pursue my dream of studying engineering.
